3 - The Unforgettable Accident

THE ACCIDENT

Many people are prone to accidents nowadays. People die because of carelessness and less cautiousness. Some of them plan on doing the accidents intentionally and they don't regret it. that's why the accidents that we encounter nowadays are sometimes severe or just minor.

It was kind of a lazy and a breezy afternoon that day when my father planned on jogging around the village. When my twin brother and I knew about it, we asked our father if we could accompany him around the village  while we are on our scooters. So then after asking him about it, we decided to go around the village. We were enjoying the wind blowing on our faces while we were riding on our scooters. Our dad was just there behind us enjoying his jogging. So while we were just moving on, we reached a steep part of the street. My brother and I thought of scooting from the steep part going down. So we excitedly did it together while our father was watching us from behind. While we were already near the ending part of the steeply road, my brother suddenly told me not to use my foot to slow down on my speed with the scooter, instead, step on the brakes from behind. but then I didn't listen to his advice. I used my left foot to slow myself down. Next thing I knew it I was already laying on the ground while experiencing pain on my wrist. My dad ran for me. He was so worried that he actually blamed himself. I thought I broke my right hand wrist. I was crying in pain. But then one neighbor approached us. He was a doctor actually. He checked on my hand and said, "Can you still move your hand?" Then I answered, "Yes I still can." Then he told my dad not to fret because it wasn't broken. So we really thanked God for the good news. We got home right after the accident that happened to me. My mom and my older brothers were really shocked. They felt really bad for me. So what I did was I exercised my right hand with a tennis ball. I tried grabbing onto the ball for like every 5 minutes. Even when I eat, i also use my right hand. What's weird was that I didn't get to visit the doctor to have my wrist check if ever there was a broken bone or something.

Accidents cannot really be predicted. Unknowingly, it will just happen anytime or anywhere. That's why many people should always be cautious or alert at at all times so that they can be prepared for themselves. They would be able to avoid it as much as possible.
